The AOC Varenne comes from the AOC Coteaux du Layon. Located in the Maine-et-Loire department ,their appellation areas and with them their soils an climate merge.The golden yellow color of these Layon slopes reflects the overripeness of the Chenin grapes ,which is confirmed by the exotic fruit aromas.

Winemaker from father to son since 1927, for four generation. Alexandre puts his Know-how and his passion at the service of quality. The estate extends over 28 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Layon hills, where traditional Anjou grape varieties grow. In order to be able to offer quality wines, we have switched to organic farming, our harvest is carried out manually with the aim of selecting our grape at optimal ripeness.
